Crystal waters, stony coves, warm beaches, rich vegetation, a rugged landscape and delicious wines.
Despite having been uncovered by only a handful of tourists, Puglia is one of the country's most spellbinding regions, thanks to its diverse landscape, mild temperature, and its old and enchanting areas, all pristinely preserved. Puglia is both hilly and flat in parts and there are a few mountainous pockets around the Gargano, Daunia and Murge. The flatter areas are to be found in and around the Tavogliere delle Puglie, the Terra di Bari, and the Salentine plains. Further inland it is extremely varied, with the general environment, language and culture vastly different from place to place. Of note are without doubt Daunia, Tavoliere, Murge, Valle d'Itria, the Arco Ionico and Salento.
