Treviso is the capital of
Treviso province and the municipality has 82,112 inhabitants. It is the home of the headquarters of designer clothing company
Benetton. The city stands at the confluence of
Botteniga with the
Sile, 30km from Venice and 50km from Vicenza, 40 Km from Padua, 120 Km from
Cortina d'Ampezzo. The city is situated some 15 km south-west the right bank of the
Piave River, on the plain between the
Gulf of Venice and the
Alps.
